RosFest 97 Prologue

This is something I wrote on my old site (back when I was Tim Elder and lived in Minneapolis) after a visit to Roswell, New Mexico in 1997. A great many things have changed since then: new city of residence, new girlfriend, new stage name, etc., but a great many have not changed at all: the ufological foodfight continues, the government still does not appear to want to risk full disclosure (and if what I think is going on is going on, I don't blame them), and lots of people are still making a buck off of selling worthless crap that only serves to continue to cheapen the whole issue. Ah well. Enjoy this piece, I had a great deal of fun writing it.
